1. Overview
This policy explains what information Verberon (“we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using verberon.com you agree to this policy.
2. What we collect
- Account information — your name and email, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Learning and exam data — your course progress, exam attempts, scores, and issued certificates.
- Payment information — purchases are handled by PayPal. We receive a confirmation of payment; we do not collect or store your card or bank details.
- Basic usage data — standard server logs and, if enabled, privacy-respecting analytics about page visits.
3. How we use it
To provide the Service (run your account, deliver the course and exam, issue and verify certificates), to process payments, to maintain security, and to improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. If analytics is enabled, it may set its own cookies for aggregate measurement.
5. Service providers
We share limited data with providers that operate the Service: PayPal (payments), Render (hosting), Neon (database), and, if enabled, Google Analytics (usage measurement). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
6. Public verification
Your certificate’s verification page is public by design and shows only your name, the credential ID, and the issue date — never your email or other private data.
7. Data retention and your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing us; we will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal obligations.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Questions or requests: contact@verberon.com.
